Summary:
The Assistant DC Manager is a very “hands on” position contributing to the success of the team. This position is 2nd in command for the facility’s operation and must be able to step in and manage the facility if called upon. This person must be a leader to ensure processes are being followed, product is being properly Quality Control checked before leaving the facility, and we are providing excellent service and quality product to customers.

Responsibilities

Requirements:

Branch Operations:

  • Ensure branch compliance with all company policies and procedures and that all daily, weekly, and monthly operational tasks are completed.
  • Assist in the oversight and performance of all warehouse functions including receiving, put away, picking, shipping, small box packing and processing, etc.
  • Track and monitor data to identify the greatest areas for improvement and put together a project plan to improve the area.
  • Ensure the safekeeping of company assets, including structures, equipment, inventory, and cash.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations * Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained.
  • Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required.

Inventory Management:

  • Ensure timely and accurate receipt of P.O.s and shipping of orders.
  • Ensure 100% inventory accuracy at all times.
  • Ensure timely, accurate and complete transfer of stock.
  • Minimize product damage.
  • Manage cycle counts.
  • Maximize storage capacity.
  • Track/monitor/research inventory discrepancies (zero-picks).

Employee Management:

  • Assist in scheduling labor to meet service goals and customer expectations.
  • Monitor safety requirements / training.

Required Skills and Experience

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communications required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration from an accredited two -year college or university
  • Minimum 2 years Preferred
