Description

BFG Supply Co. is an industry leader in wholesale distribution to the greenhouse, nursery and lawn & garden industries. This position is responsible for supporting administrative and customer service functions for all branches, sales representatives and customers with an emphasis on counter sales and warehouse support.

Responsibilities

In addition to assisting warehouse operations and customers at the onsite customer counter with order placement and product pick up, duties include:

ORDER PROCESSING

  • Order entry of plant material, hard goods and/or lawn and garden items
  • Tracking orders from entry through shipping to ensure completion
  • Follow credit and inventory management guidelines to expedite orders

COMMUNICATION

  • Field incoming calls and promptly address requests from customers, sales reps and branches focusing on customer satisfaction
  • Work with other departments within the company to resolve issues
  • Work with customers to resolve disputes accurately and quickly
  • Communicate late order shipments and order changes to customers

REPORTS

  • Track calls and provide management with documentation of issues resolved on a weekly basis
  • Follow up on open purchase order reports

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and sales peoples
  • Build customer confidence and satisfaction

OTHER

  • Follow department policies and procedures to maintain department standards
  • Responsible for upkeep and cleanliness of showroom/counter
  • May require lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Assist warehouse operations with receiving, shipping of product and preparation of product for customer pick up.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in experience
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Exception verbal communication skills and customer focus
