Description BFG Supply Co. is looking for a customer service representative interested in supporting administrative and customer service functions for our customers in the horticulture and lawn and garden industry. This position assists all branches, sales representatives, and customers providing customer service including handling incoming phone calls regarding order placement, late shipment tracking, and order changes.

This position is located in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Essential Job Functions: ORDER PROCESSING

• Order entry of plant material, hard goods and/or lawn and garden items.
• Track orders from entry through shipping to insure completion.
• Follow credit and inventory management guidelines to expedite orders.

COMMUNICATION

• Field incoming calls and promptly address requests from customers, sales reps, and branches to the customer’s satisfaction.
• Work with other departments within the company to resolve issues.
• Work with customers to resolve disputes accurately and quickly.
• Communicate late order shipments and order changes to customers.

REPORTS

• Track calls and provide Customer Service Manager with documentation of issues resolved on a weekly basis.
• Follow up on open purchase order reports.

RELATIONSHIPS

• Build and maintain relationships with customers and sales people.
• Build customer confidence and satisfaction.

OTHER

• Follow department policies and procedures to maintain department standards.
• Other duties, as needed.

EDUCATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in experience.
• Experience in the greenhouse industry.
• Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in speaking Hmong is a plus
