The Truck Driver is the face of BFG. This person is one of the few face-to-face contacts a customer has with BFG. With this in mind, it is the responsibility of the Truck Driver to safely deliver product to customers. In addition, the truck driver also hauls transfers between branches. Position is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Essential Job Functions: • Provide the best customer service possible. • Resolve customer complaints; if not resolvable refer to branch. • Deliver product to customer. • Work with other Branch teammembers to establish daily delivery route. • Assist in loading and unloading truck. • Ensure shipment is accurate. • Ensure appropriate shipping paperwork (pick-tickets/RMAs) is completed and meets DOT requirements. • Ensure customers sign pick tickets/RMAs. • Maintain truck logs – submit to Ryder/Burton • With office authorization, handle “Return Goods Authorization Form”. • Receive CODs and file with the front office upon return. • Run transfers between branches. • Perform pre-trip inspection before leaving for daily run.

Education, credentials and experience: • CDL – Class A with Hazmat endorsement; • Possess OSHA certified forklift training. • Pass physical ever two years as well as participate in random drug and alcohol screening program per Federal Regulations. • Possess and maintain clean driving record • Pass pre-employment physical and drug screen and continue to pass physical as prescribed by DOT. • Must be 21 years old.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: • Ability to lift 50 pounds. • Strong customer service skills.
